Karnataka: 5 COVID-19 Patients Die In Hubballi Hospital, Kin Allege Oxygen Shortage
Mumbai: On Tuesday, five patients suffering from COVID-19 and undergoing intensive care at Sri Bhanji D Khimji Lifeline Hospital died due to lack of oxygen. The patients reportedly died within a span of one and a half hours, starting at 3 pm.
However, while visiting the District Health Officer Hospital, Drs. Yashwant Madinkar dismissed the deaths due to lack of oxygen and said that a committee of experts would investigate the case.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Ramarajan said that a clear picture will be revealed only after medical examination. Both officers visited the hospital after the deaths.
As cases of COVID-19 have increased, many hospitals across the country are reporting a lack of oxygen and many have lost their lives due to this.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Tuesday reported 44,631 new COVID-19 cases and 292 deaths, the health department said.
