Logo With QR Code To Identify Fully-Vaccinated Buildings In Mumbai

A meeting was held to review Mumbai's strategy to tackle COVID-19

Mumbai: Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray has asked BMC to design a special logo with a QR code to identify buildings in Mumbai where all eligible residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

This suggestion came in a meeting held to review Mumbai’s strategy to tackle COVID-19, increase vaccination and control the disease in the city.

The QR code will be displayed at the entry gates of residential and commercial buildings and offices. The QR code will help in verifying that the residents of housing societies and occupants of buildings and offices are fully vaccinated, a statement issued by Minister’s office said.

In the meeting with Thackery, Collector Mumbai Suburban Nidhi Chaudhary, Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani and DMCs of Mumbai were present to review and seek inputs for drawing up a strategy to tackle COVID-19 in Mumbai.

The meeting also discussed the issue of providing second shots of the vaccine to university students and increasing the inoculation of the second dose to the working population.

Mumbai on Monday reported 419 new covid cases, taking the tally of active cases in the city to 4,595.
