Lok Sabha Election Results: Congress Maintained It’s Lead In Punjab

Mumbai: It seems Punjab is the only state where Congress has maintained their lead for 13 Lok Sabha seats against BJP ally Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

The seats where the Congress leading are Amritsar, Anandpur Sahib, Faridkot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Jalandhar, Khadoor Sahib, Ludhiana, and Patiala.

In Sangrur, the leader of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bhagwant Singh Mann was leading only with Singh Dhillon with more than 31,000 votes.

The SAD is ahead in Bathinda, Ferozepur, while the BJP has made its mark on Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seats.

According to the trend of counting on Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri ECI’s website, with more than 27,000 votes at 11 o’clock in the morning, Congress’s Gurjeet Singh is behind Aujla.

From Anandpur Sahib, former Congress Minister Manish Tewari was against SAD Professor Prem Singh Chandumajra, while Union Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Harsimrat Kaur Badal was leading Amarinder Singh Raja of Congress.

In Faridkot, Mohammed Suhayad of Congress was ahead of Congress’s Gulzar Singh Ranike with more than 22,000 votes.

At Fatehgarh Sahib Lok Sabha seat, Amar Singh of Congress was leading in the Darbar Sahib Singh SAD.

In Ferozepur, SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal was leading with more than 55,000 votes against Congress leader Sher Singh Ghubaya.

In Gurdaspur, Sunny Jakhar of Congress Sunny Deol, MP, was leading in more than 40,000 votes. In Hoshiarpur, Dr. Som Prakash Congress of BJP, Dr. Raj Kumar was against Chabbeval.
