Maharashtra: 23 New COVID-19 Cases Reported, Tally Reaches To 891

Mumbai: On Tuesday, 23 more COVID-19 cases were reported from Maharashtra, in which the number of norovirus cases in the state increased to 891.

Out of 23, BMC recorded the most number of coronavirus cases in 10, followed by Pimpri-Chinchwad (4), Ahmednagar (3), Buldhana and Nagpur (2 each) and Sangli and Thane (1 each). State Health Department.

The total number of positive cases in Thane district stands at 106 said the Thane District collector, here on Tuesday.

“The cumulative number of people under observation was 6039, of which the number of people who completed the 14-day observation period was 4063. The number of people referred to was 427, of which 106 were tested positive for COVID-19”, said the district collector.

Of the 106 people who tested positive, 13 people have been discharged and five have died due to the deadly virus.

With 120 new cases of COVID-19 in Maharashtra, the total confirmed cases in the state rose to 868 and the death toll in the state to 52.

The virus has claimed the lives of 111 people and infected a total of 4,281 people in the country, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
