Mumbai: A total of 583 new coronovirus cases were detected in Maharashtra on Thursday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 10498.
The state Health Department said, “There were 583 new COVID-19 positive cases in Maharashtra today. The total number of cases was 10492”.
In addition, more than 180 patients have been discharged till date, taking the count of discharged patients in the state to 1773 till date after full recovery.
Maharashtra records the highest number of cases in the country.
The state government said that as per the norms of the Center, a cluster regulation action plan is being implemented in places where groups of patients have been found.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the total positive cases in the country reached 33,610, including 24,162 active cases of the virus.
