Mumbai: A 25-year-old man has been arrested for raping and blblackmailing a woman in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district.
The 19-year-old woman said in her complaint that the accused, a resident of Kundru village, had allegedly made up his religious identity and befriended her sometime back.
She said the man raped her a month ago and filmed the heinous act. He threatened to make the clip public if he disclosed his ordeal.
According to Ramgarh police station in-charge of Rohit Mahto, the woman, a resident of the Mandu area, gathered the courage to file a complaint on Monday itself, after which the police arrested the accused.
