Man Invites Colleague Home For Dinner, Rapes Her In Pune; Arrested
Mumbai: A 31-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly raped his female junior colleague in Pune.
The complainant claimed that on June 6, the accused invited her to his house for dinner served her alcohol and then raped her.
In this case, a 20-year-old woman has lodged an FIR at Hinjewadi police station. The person lives in a state of caution and is a resident of Bihar. According to the FIR lodged late on Saturday night, the accused raped the woman on June 6 and 10.
On June 6, the accused allegedly invited her to his house for dinner, made her drink whiskey and raped her. On June 10, he called her to his house, threatened to circulate her pictures and raped her. On June 25, at 2.30 am, he again called her after which she approached the police.
The police booked the battery for action under Sections 376(2)(n) of the battery for repeated rape and 354(a) for the sexual acts and 328 for infection of the virus after the infection of bacteria from the battery.
Senior Inspector Vivek Muglikar, in charge of Hinjewadi police station, said, “Further probe is on.”
