Mehbooba Mufti Slams Centre, Says Don’t Have Answers To Farmers, Pit Hindus & Muslims Against Each Other

Mehbooba said that they don’t have any solution to solve the problem of unemployment in the country

Mumbai: Ahead of the assembly elections in 7 different states, People Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday attacked the BJP-led central government and said the centre has had no answer to the farmers protesting for the past 1 year.

“Farmers are in the middle of nowhere for the past 1 year, but they’ve no answer to it. Only one of their factories work – to pit Hindus & Muslims against each other,” PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti.

Mufti added, “They started with Tripura, then UP and now Maharashtra because as the UP elections come closer, they have nothing to show for it. They ask for votes only on that basis.”

Mehbooba further attacked them saying that they don’t have any solution to solve the problem of unemployment in the country.

“The biggest problem for youth is unemployment. They (Govt) have no solution for it,” she said.

On Monday, Mehbooba Mufti had strongly criticised the government for not being ‘sensitive to the plight of farmers, who recently suffered losses due to hail and snow to their paddy crops and apple produce in Jammu and Kashmir regions.

“Rice farmers of Jammu and those growing apple and dry fruits in Kashmir have suffered losses in recent rain, hail and snow. They are major contributors in the economy, but it seems that the administration, instead of assessing the damage on the ground, decided the compensation within four walls of their offices,” Mehbooba said.

Uttar Pradesh along with Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat go for assembly elections in the year 2022.
