Mumbai : In a recent development Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi Vijay Kumar Dev has been appointed as a Chief Secretary of the national capital.
The order of the appointment of 1987 batch IAS officer issued by Ministry Of Home Affairs (MHA).
“With the approval of the competent authority, it is been decided to appoint Shri Vijay Kumar Dev IAS (AGMUT : 1987) as a chief Secreatary, Government of NCT of the Delhi with effect from the date of joining till further orders” MHA order stated.
Viajy will be replacing Anshu Prakash who was transferred last week to the department of Telecommunications as the Additional Secretary.
Earlier in this year in the month of February Prakash had alleged that some od the MLAs from AAP party has assaulted him resulting in a standoff between bureaucrats and Arviind Kejriwal led the Delhi government.
