Mumbai: A 24-year-old, identified as Nabi Hussain, was arrested by the Malad police, who harassed 3 college students in the span of three days. He roamed the streets on a bicycle and sped off after molesting girls.
According to the police, a 23-year-old woman approached Malad police on July 25 with a complaint that a man had touched her inappropriately a day earlier at around 8 am and sped off on his cycle before she could react. Based on her complaint, the police registered a case under IPC section 354.
After going through CCTV footage, they traced his movements. On analysing various CCTV clips, the suspect was seen moving towards Shankar Lane near Surana Hospital and then entering the slums of Laljipada. The police then stationed teams near Surana Hospital between 7 am and 7.30 am on July 26 and nabbed the suspect.
The police then informed the principal of the college and inquired about similar mishaps. Two women came forward who had been victimized in the same manner by the suspect.
