MP: 15-Year-Old Raped In Bus, Three Arrested

Mumbai: In another shocking incident, 15-year-old was raped by 19-year-old bus helper inside a bus in Biaora town of Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district the accused has been arrested.

An official said to PTI that police arrested Raju Ahirwar for raping a minor, and two others, including a bus driver, to end the crime.

Suthalia police station in-charge Mukesh Gaur told PTI that the incident took place on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday when the victim was returning to her village after meeting her brother in Indore.

Ahirwar allegedly raped the girl inside a stationary bus at Beora bus station while bus driver Qadir Khan (25) was parked outside the vehicle, said Mukesh Gaur, Suthalia police station in-charge.

After the incident, the girl reached Suthalia police station at around 2 am on Thursday and reported the crime, he said. The offence has been registered against Ahirwar under Section 376 (rape) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, Gaur said.

He said that Khan has been wrongly accused. The official said that another accused Suresh Verma, who allegedly took the victim to Indore, was booked for kidnapping.
