Names Of All NRC Applicants Published Online

Mumbai: A complete list of NRC containing the names of all the included and excluded 3.30 crore applicants as per the supplementary list of draft NRC and exclusion and exclusion (final NRC) was published online on Saturday.

The list will be available only online and has been published in English and Assamese language.

Sources in the NRC’s state coordinator’s office said that the exclusion certificates required for filing appeals in foreigners’ tribunals have not yet been issued.

The final National Civil Register (NRC), which was published on 31 August, consisted of supplementary lists only.

The full draft, published on July 30, 2018, has the names of those included, but spelling or other mistakes have been corrected throughout the list, he said.

The final NRC was issued on 31 August, covering a total of 3,30,27,661 applicants and 3,11,22,004.

The NRC update process was initiated in Assam following a Supreme Court order in 2013 and since then, the apex court closely monitored the entire process.

The process of receipt of NRC application forms started in May 2015 and ended on 31 August 2015.
A total of 3,30,27,661 people applied through 68,37,660 application forms.

He said that the details submitted by the applicants were examined to determine eligibility for inclusion in the NRC.

Hajela said that at every stage of the process all persons have been given ample opportunity to be heard.
The official said that despite being involved in the claims and objections process, the names of all the family members have been published.

The official said that exclusion certificates are being collected from various NRC service centres and will be made available to the public as soon as possible so that they can file an appeal.

As per the Supreme Court orders, the draft NRC (complete draft) was published on July 30, 2018, covering 2,89,83,677 persons.

Subsequently, claims against the exclusions were received from 36,26,630 individuals.

Objections were received against the inclusion of 1,87,633 persons, whose names were revealed in the full draft.

Another additional draft exclusion list was published on June 26, 2019, which excluded 1,02,462 persons.
