NCP’s Maha Poll Candidate Namita Mundada Joins BJP

Mumbai: NCP leader Namita Mundada, who was ticketed by the party for the Maharashtra Assembly elections next month, joined the ruling BJP on Monday.

Mundada resigned from the NCP after joining the saffron party in Beed district in the presence of BJP Lok Sabha member Pritam Munde and Minister of State Pankaja Munde.

Her mother-in-law Vimal Mundada was a former state minister from the NCP.

Namita Mundada was announced as the NCP candidate in the assembly elections in Beed for the assembly elections to be held on October 21 earlier this month.

During the 2014 state elections, she lost to BJP’s Sangeeta Thombre from the Kaj seat.
