Nikita, Shantanu Attended Zoom Call Organised By Khalistani PJF In Jan: Police

Mumbai: Activist and lawyer Nikita Jacob and her associate Shantanu Muluk attended a Zoom call organised by Canada-based group Poetic Justice Foundation ahead of Republic Day, Delhi Police said on Monday.

Addressing the media here, Joint CP (Cyber ​​Cell), Prem Nath said that several screenshots of the toolkit were available on open source and were investigated.

He said that when the investigation was able to get enough information, a search warrant was obtained against Nikita Jacob from the court on 9 February.

He said that on February 9, a search warrant against Nikita Jacob was obtained from the court when the investigation was able to obtain sufficient information. Nikita, one of the toolkit’s editors, is a lawyer by profession.

Nath said a police team reached Mumbai and searched his residence on 11 February.

“She (Nikita) and her colleagues Shantanu and Disha Ravi created the document. The email account created by Shantanu is the owner of the document and all others are its editors.”

Earlier today, police reported that an NBW has been issued against him.

On the arrest of 21-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi, Nath said he was detained by his mother, the SHO of Bengaluru and because of his procedure.

Earlier in the day, a Delhi Police spokesperson said, “We issued NBWs against Nikita Jacob and Shantanu. The Cyber Unit of Special Cell found their involvement in the toolkit case. We’ll soon make arrests.”

Meanwhile, Jacob filed a petition before the Bombay High Court seeking anticipatory bail for four weeks. He has also sought a copy of the FIR filed against the interim security and against any drastic step taken by the police. The matter will be heard tomorrow.
