No Examination Without Vaccination: Akhilesh Yadav
Mumbai: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav demanded that students should be vaccinated against COVID-19 before board exams are conducted.
“Pahle tika, fir pariksha (first vaccination, then examination). No Examination Without Vaccination,” Yadav tweeted.

As the government is in the process of deciding on the Class 12 board exams and subsequent entrance examinations, which were postponed due to the second wave of COVID-19, some quarters have been demanded that if the examinations are to be conducted, the students be vaccinated first.

In a high-level meeting convened by the Ministry of Education earlier this week, Delhi, Kerala and a few others demanded vaccination of students before the examination.
After the meeting on Sunday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that there is a broad consensus among the states for the conduct of class 12 board examinations and an ‘informed, cooperative’ decision will be taken by June 1.
