Odisha CM Patnaik To Compete From Hinjeli,Bijepur For Assembly Seats

Mumbai: On Monday, Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Naveen Patnaik declared 9 parliamentary constituencies and 54 assembly constituencies for due Lok Sabha Elections.

With two seats Bijepur and from home turf Hinjili, CM will contest the LS Poll.

From Hinjili in Ganjam district and Bijepur in west Odisha Bargarh district are the seats from where CM said he will contest for state polls. From the year 2000, CM has been winning for assembly elections for the Hinjili assembly seat in south Odisha.

On April 11, 18, 23 and 29, Odisha will have elections for 21 Lok Sabha seats and the 147 assembly constituencies in four phases. On April 18 Elections in Hinjili and Bijepur will be conducted. The state will have a crash of LS and state election which will be held simultaneously.

CM Patnaik said on Sunday, ‘I stand from an assembly constituency in western Odisha as Leaders, as well as farmers, women and students from western Odisha, have requested and I am taking this proposal very seriously’.

Voting will be conducted as per five parliamentary and 35 assembly seats on April 18 in the second phase.

On April 11, four Lok Sabha and 28 assembly segments are going to be held.

The Lok Sabha elections are due within less than a month and will be started on 11th April as per Election Commission, it will continue till 19th May as our seven phases. Counting will be started on 23rd May.
