Omicron Cases In India Cross 400-mark, Govt Releases State-Wise List

Mumbai: A total of 415 cases of omicron type coronavirus have been detected in India so far, of which 115 have been cured or migrated, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday.

The number of cases crossed the three-digit mark in Maharashtra, with the state reporting 108 Omicron cases. Delhi has reported 79 Omicron cases so far, Gujarat 43, and Telangana 38. Also Read: India Reports 7,189 New COVID-19 Cases; 8.10% Higher Than Yesterday

The other States/UTs that have reported the Omicron cases are – Kerala (37), Tamil Nadu (34), Karnataka (31), Rajasthan (22), Haryana (4), Odisha (4), Andhra Pradesh (4), Jammu and Kashmir (3), West Bengal (3), Uttar Pradesh (2), Chandigarh (1), Ladakh (1), and Uttarakhand (1).

Meanwhile, the country has reported 7,189 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 387 virus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the MoHFW’s latest update. With this, India’s COVID-19 tally has risen to 3,47,79,815, while the fatality count has reached 4,79,520.

The active infections of COVID-19 in the country have declined to 77,032 as more people recovered from the illness yesterday. As many as 7,286 patients have recuperated from COVID-19 on Friday.

The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 141.01 crores.
