Pakistan Has Stopped Flights To Major Airports In Islamabad, Lahore

Mumbai: Pakistan on Wednesday shut down the flight operation across major airports which includes Islamabad and Lahore in a wake of tension amid between India and Pakistan relations.

Pakistani Civil Aviation Authority spokesman Mujtaba Baig told PTI that the flight operations in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces have been suspended indefinitely.

He said that the flight operations from Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan and Rawalpindi / Islamabad airports have been suspended.

He said that the aircraft which had departed from these overseas destinations for foreign airports have been diverted to safer airports.

This step has been taken between the increasing pressure between India and Pakistan after the IAF attacks on terrorist bases in Pakistan.
