Pakistani Students Using Indian Flag To Escape Ukraine: Indian Students

Mumbai: The Indian tricolour not only helped Indian students to cross the border safely from war-torn Ukraine to their neighbouring countries but also helped Pakistani, Turkish students to escape.

Indian students, who arrived in Romania’s Bucharest city from Ukraine, said the national tricolour helped them and some Pakistani and Turkish students safely cross various checkpoints in the war-torn country.

Speaking to ANI, a medical student who arrived from Odesa in southern Ukraine said that he was told in Ukraine that there would be no difficulty in being Indian and having an Indian flag.

The students narrated their ordeal about how they bought spray paints from the markets to make Indian flags.

“I ran to the market, bought some colour sprays and a curtain. I then cut the curtain and spray-painted it to make the Indian tricolour. I also have the video,” said a student.
