PM Apologised For Farm Laws, But How Will He Atone For It?: Rahul Gandhi

Mumbai: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has once again targeted the Narendra Modi government at the Center over the repealed agricultural laws.

Rahul Gandhi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may have apologized for bringing in the anti-agriculture law but he should tell Parliament how he will do atonement.

Taking a dig at Modi, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “While PM apologized for enacting an anti-agri-law, he needs to tell Parliament how will he atone for it? When will the Minister be suspended in the Lakhimpur case? How much and when will the compensation be given to the martyred farmers? When would false cases against ‘Satyagrahis’ (protestors) be withdrawn? When will law on MSP be enacted? Without all this, asking for forgiveness is incomplete!”

The opposition is continuously demanding compensation from the government for the families of the farmers killed during the agitation against the agricultural laws.

However, two days ago, the central government told Parliament that since there is no data on the number of farmers killed during the agitation, there is no question of compensation.
