Mumbai: PM Modi congratulated YSR Congress party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy and Biju Janata Dal chief Naveen Patnaik for their respective wins in Andra Pradesh and Odisha assembly.

Naveen Patnaik has retained his hold on 110 seats in the House of 147 members along with his party, BJD in Odisha and is itself in the process of becoming Chief Minister for a period of time.

Reddy announced on 7 December 2010 from Pulivendula that he would start a new party within 45 days. In March 2011, he announced the name of his party in Jaggagpet of East Godavari district. Later, his party went to the polls in the YSR Kadapa district and won with almost a majority of seats in almost all the seats.
