Mumbai: On Wednesday Congress president Rahul Gandhi counters Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he has diverted Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) into ‘Publicity Minister’s Office’.
Rahul said this while interacting with professors and students while addressing a rally. He said that there is no proof that PM would have ever gone to a university.
Rahul said PM is undertaking improper decisions in which demonetisation is a perfect example.
While addressing to a large number of audience Rahul said ‘We all still don’t have an idea whether the prime minister has ever got to a university or not a letter has been filled to a Right Of Information to get and copy of prime ministers University degree but still they haven’t received it’.
The president said the Congress if came in power will not allow the citizenship (amendment) bill to get a pass. He said, “The Congress will protect the culture and defend the history.”
On January 8 the bill was passed at Lok Sabha but couldn’t pass in Rajya Sabha because there was much opposition who criticize this bill. And hence it got collapse.
The bill oppresses the community coming from outside the border of India that is Bangladesh Pakistan Afghanistan to have citizenship of being Indian.
Nevertheless, Indian citizenship can be given after certain steps taken by district management and State authorities.
There were many protests over the bill stating if he passes the bill then it will create a problem in North East.
