DK Aruna, Senior Leader Of Congress Joins BJP; Major Setback For Inc For Due LS Polls

Mumbai: On Wednesday, DK Aruna senior Congress leader in Telangana joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaving behind the Indian National Congress (INC).

This has set a major drawback for Congress as there is only, less than a month left for Lok Sabha elections.

Before this, over 8 MLAs has left Congress and joined Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

Since from 2004, Aruna has been consequently winning the Assembly Elections for a hat-trick. For the last cabinet, she was the former information and public relation minister.

Gadwal constituency assembly is been represented by Aruna thrice. Midnight in Delhi, she met the chief of BJP Amit Shah. Father, then she was fielded officially as a team of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Ram Madhav who is BJP’s General Secretary had cleverly influence Aruna to leave Congress and join BJP.
Aruna said, “With the current given circumstances, there is no chance of Congress to regain its victory in Telangana. Only the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) can fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people.”

The 59 years old Aruna want to compete from Mahabubnagar parliamentary constituency. She was since her childhood was linked with the Congress which had tried giving the party’s ticket to Aruna for Mahabubnagar for which she neglected. She is the leader who is known as ‘Queen of Gadwal’.

In the year 2005, when her father Chittem Narsi Reddy, a former minister of Congress was flag hosting the tricolour on Independence Day he was killed by Maoists close by his brother.

The due Lok Sabha elections will be started from 11 April with seven phases. Telangana who has 17 parliamentary seats will vote in the second phase on April 18.
Counting will be done on May 23rd.
