The attack on the former Congress president came on a day when the prime minister began his three-day tour of Europe, his first of the year. Reports suggest that Modi will have 25 busy schedules during his visit, where he will spend around 65 hours.
On Saturday, Gandhi had targeted Modi over the ongoing power crisis in the country. Taking to Twitter, Gandhi asked the PM who he would blame for the current “failure” of the crisis, a result of the short supply of coal for maintenance and plant shutdowns amid power shortages.
Along with the tweet, Gandhi also shared a video showing the prime minister’s past speeches, in which he had promised to make electricity available 24 hours. The video also carried news headlines from various channels anchors speaking on the severity of the issue.
