Polling Begins For 288 Constituencies In Maharashtra And 90 Constituencies In Haryana

Mumbai: Polling for assembly Election started from Monday for 288 constituencies in Maharashtra and 90 constituencies in Haryana.

In Haryana 19, 578 Polling stations have been set up whereas 96,661 in Maharashtra for the people to cast their votes.

The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is fighting to retain all the seats in Maharashtra, whereas Congress-NCP will look after to come back in power after five years.

Despite high profile resignation from the party Congress will look to seek advantage of the high unemployment rates and lack of women’s safety in Haryana to upset BJP’s Haryana ambitions. On the other hand, BJP has set a target of 75+ plus seats in Haryana where BJP, Congress, INLD, and JJP will fight to dominate 90 assembly constituencies.

More than 40,000 Haryana police personnel, over 13,000 parliamentary personnel and over 20,000 Home Guards have been deployed.

Results will be announced for both states on the 24th of October.
