Prime Minister Narendra Modi Pays Tribute To Mahatma Gandhi At Rajghat
Mumbai: On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th Birth Anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute at Rajghat.
Modi was accompanied by BJP working president JP Nadda Union Minister for Commerce Piyush Goyal and Minister of State (MoS) independent charge, Hardeep Singh Puri at Raj Ghat.
The Prime Minister then left for Vijay Ghat to pay tributes to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 115th birth anniversary.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has extended its Gandhi Sankalp Yatra for a period of three months. According to the circular sent to the leaders, the yatra will now be a 120-day exercise and will end on January 31, 2020. Earlier, it was scheduled to be held between 2 October and 31 October.
Under this, the BJP plans to promote Gandhi’s ideals and principles of non-violence, swaraj a, d simplicity as his 150th birth anniversary. Posters, banners, d kits of events to be held during the yatra will be sent directly from the party headquarters to the state units. PM Modi is to conclude the program from Gujarat.
