Public Private Partnership To Be Unleashed To Develop Rail Infrastructure: Nirmala Sitharaman

Mumbai: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Friday that corporate India, along with being a job creator, is a wealth creator and invites public-private partnerships to develop rail infrastructure.

Presenting the first budge after retaining the power Sitharaman said that the 657-km metro rail network has been commissioned across the country, while the railway infrastructure will require an investment of Rs 50 lakh crore by 2030.

While saying that schemes such as Bharat Mala, Sagarmala and UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) are reducing rural-urban divide and improving transport infrastructure, they said that “public to develop rail infrastructure Private partnership was not eliminated “.

The Finance Minister said that the world’s third largest aviation market is the time to get the airline financing and entry to the lease from time to time.

He further said that the last mile distribution was standing out and stressed that the purpose of the government was “strong enough for a strong country”.
