“Rahul Gandhi’s Credibility Has Taken Peak,” Nirmala Sitharaman

Mumbai: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that Rahul Gandhi’s credibility has taken a peak after his comment “Chowkidar hi chor hai” which involved the Supreme court.

She told media, “Rahul Gandhi’s credibility has taken a beating. Generally, public life goes with untruth. It is a matter of concern to repeat the untruth. I feel sorry that President of Indian National Congress relay on falsehood.”

Sitharaman was reacting towards Rahul Gandhi’s regret on his own remarks that Supreme Court had said ” Chowkidar Chor hai” during admissibility of Rafale Aircraft documents.

The Congress President expressed his regret earlier this day over his remark “Chowkidar Chor hai” and that his statement was “used and misused” by oppositions. He said that he gave the statement “In the heat political campaigning.”

Gandhi expressed his regret after BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi filed a hatred over his statement over the recent order of Supreme Court in Rafale case.

The case was filed against Rahul Gandhi that he misquoted the statement of SC that the apex court has accepted “Chowkidar (Narendra Modi) Chor hai (is a thief).

Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi on April 15 hunted for an explanation from Rahul Gandhi. The hearing was posted for April 23.

“The Supreme Court had clarified that Chowkidar(PM Modi) has allowed theft and the apex court has accepted that some hunt of corruption has taken place in Rafale case”, Congress President Rahul Gandhi had said in while speaking to media persons.
