Raj Kundra, Accomplices Operated Porn Videos Racket Via WhatsApp Group ‘H’: Reports

Mumbai: Actress Shilpa Shetty’s businessman-husband Raj Kundra, who has been arrested in a case related to the publishing pornographic films on apps, ran the porn videos racket with his accomplices through a WhatsApp group named ‘H’, ABP reported.

According to ABP, Sources further said that there are five members in this WhatsApp group ‘H’ and they discussed all the issues related to the transaction and shared ideas on how to increase their video production and profits.

The Mumbai Police has also arrested Riyan John, a close aide of Raj Kundra. John handled the technical end of the video so that the “audience” would not face any interruptions while watching.

Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch on Monday night arrested businessman Raj Kundra as the alleged main conspirator in a case of making obscene films and publishing them through mobile applications.

The property cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch had registered an FIR in connection with the case in February this year and arrested nine persons soon thereafter. Police officials said that Kundra’s name came up during the interrogation of the accused.

On Monday, Kundra was summoned for questioning, following which he was placed under arrest. Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale said We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress.

Raj Kundra will be produced in the court today and the police will seek his remand for further investigation. So far 11 accused including Kundra have been arrested in the case.
