Raj Lifts Night Curfew With Effect From Feb 5, Religious Places Allowed To Open For Devotees

Mumbai: The Rajasthan government on Friday issued an order lifting the night curfew from 11 pm to 5 am across the state with effect from February 5.

Apart from this, in the order issued by the Rajasthan government, it has been said that now religious places in the state can be opened for devotees. According to the order, the presence of a maximum of 250 people has also been allowed in all types of public, social, political, sports-related, educational, cultural and religious programs. Also Read: Schools, Colleges, Gyms To Reopen In Delhi From Feb 7; Night Curfew Reduced By 1 Hour

The order stressed that all the COVID-19 guidelines including social distancing, wearing of masks, sanitization etc should be followed during any event in the state.

The order came a day after the state recorded 8,073 COVID-19 cases and 22 deaths on Thursday. Rajasthan now has a total of 12,29,134 COVID-19 cases and 9,332 deaths.

In Thursday’s figures, six have died in Jaipur, three in Jodhpur, two each in Kota and Udaipur, and one each in Ajmer, Bharatpur, Bundi, Churu, Dausa, Dungarpur, Ganganagar, Jhunjhunu and Karauli.

Among the new COVID-19 cases, state capital Jaipur recorded the highest number of 1,862 cases.

So far 11,60,289 people have been cured in Rajasthan and active cases in the state are 59,513.
