Schools In Mumbai To Be Closed Tomorrow Due To Heavy Rains

Mumbai: All private and government schools in Mumbai will be closed tomorrow (July 20) due to heavy rains. The IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai tomorrow.

Tomorrow is expected to bring heavy rain to various parts of Mumbai, according to the weather office. Parts of Mumbai have also received an orange alert for tomorrow.

Mumbai’s railway services were impacted earlier in the day by heavy rain. Government offices in Mumbai and the surrounding area were instructed to close early so that people could make it home on time by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Today, the chief minister of Maharashtra announced that schools in districts impacted by heavy rain will remain closed. Additionally, he stated that local government will make the final decision in light of the local weather.

The weather office has also issued a red alert for the nearby districts of Raigad and Palghar in addition to Mumbai.

Due to the forecast heavy to extremely heavy rain in these places, tomorrow will also see no classes in these districts.
