Section 144 Imposed In Srinagar All School, Colleges To Remain Closed

Mumbai: Restrictions were imposed in Srinagar under Section 144 with the effect of midnight which will remain in force till further updates.

As per the order, public and educational institutions will remain closed.a

Earlier on Sunday, mobile internet services have also been suspended in the Kashmir Valley.

The government has said that the restrictions will remain in force until further orders. “There shall be no movement of public and all educational institutions shall also remain closed,” the government order read.

“Section 144 imposed in Reasi district, classwork of all schools, colleges, and academic institutions, both private and government, shall remain suspended from 5th August till further orders, as a precautionary measure,” the J&K government order read.

Meanwhile, a meeting is underway between Governor Satya Pal Malik, the DGP and the chief secretary amid the escalation of Kashmir turmoil.
