Seven Killed As Car Crashes Into Tree On Bengaluru-Pune Highway

Mumbai: On Wednesday morning seven members of a family from Dharwad in Karnataka were killed in a car accident. The deceased included three children.

The car in which the family was travelling, crashed into a tree at village Kashil, about 97km from Bengaluru-Pune highway. The cause of the accident is ascertained, the Satara rural police suspect that the car driver must have lost control over the wheels while driving at a high speed along the highway.

The vehicle changed it’s the direction and crashed into the tree, leading to the six on the spot deaths. The seventh victim was a three-year-old child, suffering from injuries at a nearby hospital. Two men and two women were among the deceased, said police.

The police have partially identified the surname of the victim’s as Saudagar. The driver of the car is undergoing treatment and as per policy, he is in critical condition.
