Shiv Sena To Form Govt, With The Support Of BJP And NCP: Reports

Mumbai: In a huge relief, for Maharashtra, it has been reported that Congress chief Sonia Gandhi has extended her hands to support Shiv Sena to form government in Maharashtra.

Well, the deadline for Sena to stake a claim was to end in another forty minutes.

It has also been reported that Aaditya Thackeray, along with other party leaders, is on his way to the Raj Bhavan to stake a claim.

Meanwhile, Sena sources told news agency PTI, “As per the invitation from the Governor to express his wish and capacity to form a government-issued to us yesterday, we are responding positively to it.”

We will seek time from the Governor to prove majority in the House. “Shiv Sena has chosen Shinde as the leader of the legislative wing. Shinde and Aditya Thackeray have reached Raj Bhavan to decide to form the government.

The BJP, with 105 seats, was earlier invited but declined the Governor’s invitation to explore the possibility of government formation in the state as the allied Shiv Sena did not withdraw it.

The grand alliance of BJP and Shiv Sena contested together, but there was a difference of opinion on forming the government, as the army pressured the chief ministers.
