Teen Shoots Man After He Stalks Her, Demands Sexual Favours For 2 Years

UP: In Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj, a teenager allegedly shot dead the husband of the village head following her. The man was allegedly demanding sexual favors from the teenager for the past two years. The incident took place at the girl’s house on June 20.
The girl alleged that the 50-year-old man tried to outrage her modesty. When the girl resisted the man’s efforts, he allegedly started harassing her and her friend. Reportedly, the man had also molested the teenager’s sister.
Social stigma and fear prevented the teenager from narrating her ordeal to anyone. The girl also feared that the accused would harm her family. “He was a murder accused and his terror is supreme in the area,” the girl said.
Eventually, the girl and her friend decided to kill the accused, reports The Times of India. On June 20, the girl’s mother reached the village head’s husband and asked him to meet her on the pretext of resolving the daughter’s problem.
When the man came to the girl’s house and started talking to her mother, he allegedly shot her with a country-made pistol and fled to Farrukhabad along with her friend.
Police said, “Police managed to arrest him and his friend from Farrukhabad on Tuesday. The country-made pistol used to kill the girl was provided by his friend. We got a pistol from the girl’s house. Found. The gun has been recovered.”
SSP Kannauj Prashant Verma said that the accused girl and her friend were booked under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The other associates of the accused were also booked for conspiracy.
