Telangana Reports 5,567 New COVID-19 Cases, 23 Deaths In 24 Hours

AP Reports 30 Fresh COVID-19 Cases, 1 Death

Mumbai: The Telangana health department said on Thursday that 2,251 recoveries and 23 deaths have occurred in 5,567 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state currently stands at 3,73,468, including 3,21,788 discharges and 1899 deaths. The number of active cases in the state is currently 49,781.

According to the bulletin, the case fatality rate in Telangana is 0.50 per cent and the recovery rate is 86.16 per cent. On Wednesday, 1,02,335 samples were tested for COVID-19, of which the total number of trials in Telangana is 1,21,75,425.

Meanwhile, more than 3 lakh new COVID-19 cases and more than 2,000 deaths were recorded in India on Thursday, a record since last year’s pandemic.

As per the Union Health Ministry, as many as 3,14,835 new COVID-19 cases and 2,104 deaths were reported, taking the total cases to 1,59,30,965, including 22,91,428 active cases
