Three Terrorists Neutralized by Indian Army In Pulwama

Mumbai: In a joint operation by Jammu and Kashmir police, Indian Army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), three terrorists were killed in retaliation at Chewa Ular in Tral area of Awantipora, Pulwama district. 

According to officials, a joint search operation was launched on information about the presence of terrorists in the area, the search operation turned into an encounter after the hidden terrorists opened fire on the search party.

The first terrorist was killed on Friday morning and later in the day, the other two were neutralized too.

“When Army, CRPF police were cordoning off Chewa Ular in Tral day, terrorists fired on our troops. We attempted to induce their surrender but they refused. 3 terrorists were neutralized today morning. No civilian was injured in the operation,” said Brigadier V Mahadevan of 1 Sector RR

Since the beginning of the year, Army is in action against terrorism and militancy in the Jammu Kashmir valley, till date more than 100 terrorists have been killed by Indian Army in the year 2020.
