Ukraine Claims 12,000 Russian Soldiers Killed; 128 Aircraft, 303 Tanks Destroyed

Mumbai: Ukraine on Tuesday claimed that it has killed around 12,000 Russian soldiers since the Russian invasion began on February 24. Ukraine also claimed that its military has destroyed 303 Russian tanks and over 120 aircraft including 80 helicopters and 48 planes.

It also claimed to have killed over 3,500 ‘Russian occupiers’. The big claims made by the Ukrainian Army is being backed by the Defence Ministry.

An unofficial Twitter page supporting Ukraine’s armed forces claimed on Saturday that Ukraine’s military had destroyed a large number of Russian soldiers in its defence. According to a tweet by Page, the Ukrainian military claimed to have destroyed 14 Russian aircraft, 8 helicopters, 102 tanks, 536 armoured vehicles and 15 artillery systems.

Earlier on Friday, 27 February, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry claimed that its armed forces inflicted around 800 casualties on Russian forces, further claiming that more than 30 of their tanks, seven aircraft and six helicopters were destroyed during the battle.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry replied by claiming to have destroyed over 83 Ukrainian military facilities, including 11 airbases.
