US Put Khalistani Terrorist Hardeep Nijjar On No-Fly List In 2019: Report

Mumbai: Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was put on a no-fly list by the US in 2019, reports citing the no-fly list leaked earlier this year said. The no-fly list contains identity information of known or suspected terrorists, according to the US government.

Meanwhile, it has come to light that Nijjar was also on Canada’s no-fly list in 2017–18, in contrast to Trudeau’s recent support for the Khalistani activist.

There are questions about Trudeau’s support for Nijjar in light of the news that he has been added to both the US and Canadian no-fly lists, which could have an impact on Canada’s relations with India.

The Canadian Prime Minister said in his most recent statement that Ottawa had informed India of allegations regarding the death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar weeks before to his death.

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) claims that the no-fly list is a minor portion of the Terrorist Screening Database, which also goes by the name of the terrorist watchlist and contains information about known or suspected terrorists. The Terrorist Screening Center of the FBI is in charge of maintaining the database.

The No Fly List is implemented by TSA through its Secure Flight initiative. Notably, those who are on the no-fly list are not permitted to board a plane when it is traveling within, to, from, or over the United States.

Two masked men shot and killed Hardeep Singh Nijjar, an outspoken proponent of the Khalistan movement, in June of this year when he was acting as president of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey.

After Trudeau claimed that the Indian government was involved in the murder of the Khalistani leader in front of the Canadian Parliament on Monday, tensions between India and Canada reached a new low. India, however, slammed the accusation as “absurd and motivated.”
