Vivek Oberoi’s Home Searched In Connection With Drug Case Involving Relative

Mumbai: The Mumbai home of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi was discovered by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bangalore Police on Thursday.

Oberoi’s house was raided by his brother-in-law Aditya Alva on charges of suspected involvement in the Sandalwood drug smuggling case.

The son of former minister late Jeevanraj Alva, Alva has been absconding since September 4, when police-initiated action against drug peddlers, suppliers and rave party organizers.

“Vivek Oberoi is his relative and we got some information that Alva is … so a court warrant was obtained and the Central Crime Branch team went to his house in Mumbai,” an official told PTI.

More than 15 people have been arrested in this case including Kannada film actress Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjana Galrani, rave party organizer Viren Khanna, realtor Rahul Thons and some Nigerians.
