We Didn’t Even Stop During War, Take COVID-19 Lockdown Seriously: Railways

Mumbai: In a tweet, the Indian Railways urged citizens to take the coronavirus lockdown seriously and said that rail services had not stopped even during the war.

“Indian Railways never stopped even during the war. Please understand the seriousness of the circumstances. Stay at home,” the tweet read.

The government said on Monday that 30 states and union territories have announced complete lockout in their entire areas, covering 548 districts. Apart from 30 states or union territories facing complete lockdown, three states or union territories have imposed partial lockdown in some areas.

Maharashtra and Punjab announced a statewide curfew as the number of Kovid-19 cases, which killed at least 16,000 people worldwide, rose to 471 in India. The case count doubled in just three days. 5. The Delhi Police has announced that people entering Delhi from any of its borders will require special “curfew passes” from today. The passes are only for the cross-border movement, and will not be necessary for those coming and going within Delhi.
