Will Allot Slot For Trust Vote When CM Seeks It: K’taka

Mumbai: Assembly Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar said on Friday that HD Kumaraswamy, in view of the decision to get trust vote, said that slot would be allotted whenever the Karnataka Chief Minister opted for it.

The speaker told reporters here, “The Chief Minister has said of his mind that he would not cling to power amid the confusion. He said he will seek the trust of the House.”

“Whenever he tells me that he wants to move the trust motion, the very next day I will put it in the business of the day,” he added.

In view of the resignation of three Congress MLAs and 13 JD (S) MLAs, on Friday, they took time to embrace the Chief Minister and move the vote of trust in the House.

Also, two independent legislators withdrew their support from the government and alliances with the BJP.

While expressing condolences, the Chief Minister said on the question about the justification behind seeking trust, that the questions should be kept by Mr Kumaraswamy.
