With Order Of SC, Tik Tok Removed From Play Store, Apple App Store In India

Mumbai: Chinese famous short-video sharing application, Tik-Tok is now banned in India and been removed from Google Play store as well as from the Apple App store in India.

This removal came after the Supreme Court (SC) decision on the direction of the government saying it promotes pornographic content.

The app was available on Apple App store till Tuesday but now has been removed on Wednesday.

Musical.ly turn Tik-Tok is famous among teenagers, young people and now has gone away.

The lipsing app is famous for uploading acting, dance or jokes. The app also notified their users after their 2 hours of use as its manipulation appeared on the peak of utilization.Nevertheless, people who already own the app can use it ahead. The ban is only for not downloading for more users.

Although the ban is on downloading from the App store, the current users can use it further or even can share to others via sharing applications.

For 240 million times, it’s been downloaded in India. More than 30 million users downloaded in the month of January 2019 which is 12 times more than the same month in 2018.

Tik-Tok derived from the sound of Clock was merged with Musical.ly, which got updated and users got new features, with new the notification system of getting alert after two hours of use and was named as Tik Tok.

Supreme Court was dicey to whether put a halt as it went against Freedom of speech. Now on the direction with the government starting to save teens and youth from pornographic and indecency content, it has finally declared a halt.
