Yogi Adityanath Hails Ayodhya verdict as Power Of Democracy, Judiciary

Mumbai: On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath praises the Ayodhya verdict and says it shows the power of democracy and judiciary.

“We are grateful to the Supreme Court for settling the 500-year-long pending matter related to Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya in just 45 minutes. It shows the power of democracy and judiciary,” he said at an event here.

On Nov 9, SC bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi ordered the government to start the construction of Ram Temple, “government should formulate a scheme within three to four months for setting up a trust and hand over the site to it for construction of the Ram Temple.”

The five-judge bench said the Sunni Waqf Board, which was a party to the 7-decade-old title suit, should be given an alternate five-acre land at some other suitable place for construction of a mosque.

The Ayodhya dispute is a political, historical, and socio-religious debate in India, centred on a plot of land in the city of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
