1,074 COVID-19 Patients Cured In Last 24 Hours, Recovery Rate Rises to 27.52 pc

Mumbai: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday that India’s recovery rate has gone up to 27.52 per cent after recovery of 1,074 COVID-19 patients in the last 24 hours.

Speaking to media persons here, Joint Secretary of the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry Luv Agarwal said, “A total of 1,074 people have been cured in the last 24 hours. This is the highest number of patients being cured in a day. 11,706 people have been cured till to date. The recovery rate is 27.52 per cent.”

On 30 April, 630 COVID-19 patients had recovered in 24 hours, up from 23.3 per cent on 28 April, a 25.19 per cent recovery rate in the country.

According to official figures, India has recorded 2,553 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number to 44,532.

“A total of 2,553 cases have been increased in the last 24 hours which led the total number of cases to 44,532,” Agarwal said.
