108 New Cases Push Arunachal’s COVID-19 Tally To 14,580

Mumbai: A senior health official said that the COVID-19 tally of Arunachal Pradesh increased to 14,580 on Thursday as 108 more people, including three security personnel, tested positive for infection.

He said the maximum number of 28 new cases were reported in the Capital Complex area, followed by Lower Subansiri (12) and Siang (eight).

State Monitoring Officer Drs. “Two Army personnel and one Indian Reserve Battalion personnel are among the new patients,” said Lobsang Jampa.

He said that inmates of three central jails and three health workers also had a contract of illness.

Arunachal Pradesh now has 2,064 active coronavirus cases, while a total of 12,480 people have been cured of the disease so far, the official said, adding that the recovery rate in COVID-19 patients in the state is 85.5 percent.

He said that so far 36 coronaviruses have died in the state, including 18 this month.

The state has so far tested 3,12,775 samples for COVID-19, including 2,107 on Wednesday, he added.
