14-Year-Old Girl Repeatedly Raped For 25 Days In Gwalior

Mumbai: A 14-year-old girl was repeatedly raped for 25 days by a 23-year-old man she met online eight months ago, police said. The girl had gone missing on March 7 after leaving the house to meet a friend.

The police arrested the accused on Sunday after freeing the minor girl from Hastinapur, 31 km from the district headquarters.

According to the report, the victim, a resident of Sunder Nagar Kashipura locality of Murar, is a student of class IX. She had left the house on March 7 on the pretext of meeting a friend.

When she did not return for a long time, the family members of the victim lodged a missing complaint at the Murar police station. Acting on the complaint, the police started a search on the basis of the location of the mobile phone of the victim.

Murar police station in charge Shailendra Bhargava told that the last location of the victim was seen on Singhpur Road. After this, the police started investigating the CCTV footage installed on the spot. When the police repeatedly checked 12 CCTV cameras, a suspicious bike was found in it. The police, who reached the spot after the bike number, rescued the victim.

The victim told the police that she came to know about the accused through social media eight months ago. They became friends and started talking to each other.

On March 7, the accused called to meet her and took her home on his bike. The accused threatened her and abused her. Then he took it and kept it in his uncle’s empty house in Hastinapur. The victim told that he raped her several times.
