20-Yr-Old Invited By Batchmate To Sister’s Wedding; Raped By His Friend In Rajasthan
Mumbai: A 20-year-old student was allegedly raped by her batchmate’s friend in Rajasthan’s Alwar. Following the complaint of the student, the main accused Ravi Choudhary was arrested while the second accused Ravindra Choudhary is absconding.
According to the police, the alleged crime took place when the MBBS student’s batchmate invited him to his sister’s wedding in Alwar. According to a report in Times of India, his batchmate had sent two of his friends Ravi and Ravindra to ferry them to the city to attend the wedding.
The accused, who took the MBBS student to the wedding venue, took her to a hotel room. When Ravindra was guarding the hotel room, Ravi allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Later, the survivor approached the cops at a police station in the vicinity, following which Ravi was arrested. Ravindra is yet to be nabbed, and the role of the survivor’s batchmate, who invited her to the wedding, is being investigated, the report stated.
