22 Patients At Nashik Hospital Die Due To Low Oxygen Supply Following Leakage

Mumbai: As many as 22 patients died at a hospital in Maharashtra’s Nashik due to low oxygen supply after an oxygen tanker leaked on Wednesday.

Nashik DM confirmed that Dr At least 22 people were killed in the oxygen tanker leak incident at Zakir Hussain Hospital.

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said oxygen leakage in storage tanks could lead to fatal attacks. Tope also promised to investigate the incident.

Dr. of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) for COVID-19 patients. The patients were being treated at Zakir Hussain Hospital.

He said that the Maharashtra government would look into the matter and conduct a detailed investigation.

“We will issue a statement later after the investigation is over,” added Tope.

Meanwhile, Food and Drug Administration Minister of Maharashtra, Dr Rajendra Shingen termed the incident as unfortunate and said that an inquiry has been ordered.

It may be noted that since early this morning, a video of leakage of oxygen from the storage plant is going viral on social media.
