3,900 Cases, 195 Deaths: Day After Relaxation, India Records Biggest 24-Hour Spike; Total Tally At 46,433

Mumbai: Soon after nationwide restrictions were eased, India saw the largest single-day spike with 3,900 cases and 195 deaths. The total number of confirmed cases reached 46,433 and the number of deaths increased from a 1,500-point 1,568 to a specific one.

So far, about 12,727 patients have been cured. According to the Ministry of Health, the recovery rate was 27.4 per cent.

States like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat also recorded the highest one-day jump in cases. Maharashtra reported 1,567 cases in one day, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat recorded 527 and 376 fresh infections respectively.

The states which have reported less than 10 cases are Tripura, Mizoram, Puducherry, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.
